Rule and Importance

• 1. Vibration generated during operation or shutdown with various equipment is blocked or absorbed by the vibration-block mount(spring, rubber). However, if the vibration width generated at this time is a size that cannot be absorbed by the mount, the amplitude is reduced by adding an additional load (inertial).
• 2. Maintain static conditions due to concrete load added to the shaking and vibration width of equipment that occurs during periodic or sudden fluctuations in the device. In particular, the suction side and discharge side elbow of the pump shall be placed on the BMB.
• 3. Prevent the vibration width caused by mechanical friction or incorrect combination of equipment from being transmitted to the structure during operation.
• 4. The self-load of BMB shall be a lightweight structure composed of concrete equivalent to 1 to 3 times the operating load of the equipment. However, the load of BMB for equipment that is imbalanced, such as air compressors, must be applied with an additional load equivalent to five to seven times the operating load of the compressor.
• 5. These BMB is used for various equipments(pumps, fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, cooling towers, and air compressors) that should be smaller amplitude. BMB is mainly composed of H-beam, I-beam, C-channel, or Steel plate. The additional load type base is a base in which constructors place concrete in the field in a form in which reinforcing bars are arranged inside. However, equipment such as refrigerators and cooling towers recommends common households without concrete.
